The NICE-TAK project, funded by the European Union and co-funded by the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (Germany), represents the Business School of Design and Handicraft in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

The purpose of the school is to create a platform for acquiring skills, thanks to which artisans and designers can operate with the entire value chain cycle, as well as creating a system that generates innovative and design solutions for traditional arts and crafts, linking local know-how to international demand for handicraft and design goods.

It should be noted that one of the indicators for the school’s activities will be the participation of trained designers and specialists in the upcoming Dubai EXPO 2020 exhibition, in which Kyrgyzstan will take part with the support of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Target audience: artisans and designers, leaders of cooperatives, entrepreneurs, whose activities are related to the sale of craft, souvenir and design products, their employees, interior designers, architects and stylists.

Course duration: 20 days product development module and 12 days business module.

The first module will begin on February 25, 2019. The course is paid. Participants will be able to choose several participation options:

  1. Choose a suitable session which participants will interested in. Duration of one session is 4 days. The cost is 1800 som. (suitable for individual designers)
  2. Complete the course from start to finish. Duration: 20 days from February-June 2019. Cost-9000 som. (Suitable for leaders of the cooperatives).

Educational sessions will be conducted by international and local experts.
